Online job fair aims to fill 150 teacher slots

Catholic Herald Staff Report

The diocesan Office of Catholic Schools will hold an online job fair March 13 to fill 150 teaching openings in preschools, elementary, middle and high schools across the Arlington diocese.

All of the diocese’s 41 brick-and-mortar schools reopened for
in-person instruction or a hybrid of in-person and online instruction at the
beginning of the school year, and many schools have seen “an uptick of interest”
and have waiting lists, said Superintendent Joseph Vorbach. The diocese also
created a new fully online school, Saint Isidore of Seville.

The job fair will be open from 9 a.m. to noon.
Pre-registration is required.

Job seekers will be able to talk with principals and
representatives from the schools office and can pre-select schools of
interests. Applicants should have resumes on hand and be prepared to schedule
follow-up interviews.

The diocese serves 17,000 students at 37 parish elementary
schools, four diocesan high schools, four independent schools and five
free-standing preschools not connected with a parish.
