Ann Krebs has been named the new varsity softball coach at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria. Krebs is committed to building a competitive program and fostering relationships with the student athletes, their families and the Ireton community, according to an announcement from the school.

Krebs comes to Ireton with a wealth of knowledge as a high level player and coach. She played softball at the collegiate level, including a trip to the NCAA Elite 8 Championships.

Krebs said she is excited about helping the Cardinals compete in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and looks forward to leading the program. She is committed to developing the player’s skills and promoting the highest level of sportsmanship both on and off the field.

“Coach Krebs brings a strong technical background and a teaching approach to our program,” said Ireton Athletic Director Bill Simmons. “She has played at a high level and coached every position. I am excited to see her join our Bishop Ireton family.”
