For The Catholic Herald

The Paul VI Catholic High School men’s varsity tennis team is off to a 3-0 start after an 8-1 win over Good Counsel and a 5-4 win over Benedictine High School. The Panthers were scheduled to face undefeated Gonzaga Monday night.

Number 1 seeded junior Patrick Reynolds ended with a win of 8-4 over his Benedictine opponent after trailing 3-4.

“The PVI players exhibit a great deal of self-determination and discipline,” said Head Coach Aleksandra Syska. “They’ve set personal goals and are going after them.”
