What is the status of Mother Teresa's sainthood cause?

I have been reading the Catholic Herald for years now and enjoy receiving it each week, even more so now that I am retired.

All Catholics are so excited about the upcoming elevation of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII to sainthood April 27.

I, and several of my Catholic friends, would like to know the status of the elevation of Mother Teresa to the status of sainthood? We're confused as to the delay and wonder if you could update us on the status and anticipated date of elevation for this wonderful and saintly lady in one of your upcoming editions.

Editor's Note: According to americancatholic.org, Mother Teresa of Kolkata, who died in 1997, was beatified by Pope John Paul II Oct. 19, 2003. After her beatification, the recognition of another miracle will be required for sainthood.
