World Meeting of Families sets tentative Guinness Record for Pope Francis mural

First slide

At 10 a.m. today, a representative from Guinness World Records confirmed that, in collaboration with local nonprofit, Philadelphia Mural Arts, the World Meeting of Families 2015 has tentatively set a new record for the highest number of participants to collaborate on a single paint-by-numbers mural. The current record stands at 2,263 people, which WMOF appears to have met during painting sessions held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia this week, and is expected to surpass by this afternoon. The achievement will (hopefully) be validated in November once the full Pope Francis-inspired mural is assembled by designer Cesar Viveros, artist-in-residence at Mural Arts.
