Benedictine Sister Anita Sherwood, who entered the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia when she was 15 and celebrated her 80th jubilee this year, died Dec. 4 at age 98.

It was an evening filled with emotion as the faithful gathered at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary Nov. 29 for the special Mass and reception bidding farewell to Bishop Burbidge. 

Bishop Burbidge is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys catching the games after a busy Sunday. He also enjoyed playing baseball growing up, played tennis in seminary and worked as an umpire until he was ordained a deacon. 

Bishop Burbidge talks about what it was like growing up in a close-knit Irish Catholic family in Philadelphia. He also shares his love of country music, family dinners and working with "soles."
