ROME — A month after reading an interview in the Vatican newspaper with Edith Bruck, an author and Holocaust survivor, Pope Francis decided to pay her a visit at her home in the center of Rome.

Dozens of future Catholics preparing to be baptized this Easter gathered with their sponsors at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington Feb. 21 for the Rite of Election, one of the major liturgical steps on their journey to becoming Catholics. 

Our students are back on campus, and it has been a breath of fresh air. We asked them to quarantine for the first two weeks of the semester, since they were coming from all parts of the country and some of them would undoubtedly be shedding the virus.
