Feared as disease carriers, all dogs are banished from a Japanese city by its formidable and corrupt mayor (voice of Kunichi Nomura) and exiled to the aptly named Trash Island. When the mayor's 12-year-old orphaned ward (voice of Koyu Rankin) arrives, searching for his deported pet (voice of Liev Schreiber), he's aided in his poignant quest by a quartet of other formerly pampered pooches (voices of Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Bob Balaban and Jeff Goldblum) and by the street mutt (voice of Bryan Cranston) with whom they have allied themselves in their struggle for survival.

A generally endearing animated slice of history, this comedy-tinged drama follows the adventures of the plucky canine who became an honorary noncommissioned officer in the Army thanks to his feats of derring-do during World War I. Adopted by a young soldier (voice of Logan Lerman) doing basic training in his hometown of New Haven, Conn., the formerly hungry, homeless pooch becomes the mascot of the 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division and especially bonds with two of his new master's closest buddies (voices of Jordan Beck and Jim Pharr).

Directed by Ken Carlson, this uplifting documentary follows Dr. Thomas Catena as he lives and works with the people of the Nuba Mountains region of Sudan.

Somber but intriguing fact-based drama about the infamous 1969 car accident on the New England island of the title involving Sen. Edward M. (Ted) Kennedy (Jason Clarke) and Mary Jo Kopechne (Kate Mara), a former staffer for Kennedy's assassinated brother Robert, who died in the mishap. The legislator's bizarrely irresponsible behavior in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy is portrayed rather than explained by screenwriters Andrew Logan and Taylor Allen and director John Curran.

While visiting Mexico for spring break, a group of friends (most prominently Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey and Violett Beane) becomes trapped in the titular game from which there is no apparent escape, after playing it inside an abandoned and accursed mission church.
