On July 28, 2013, the Father Widmer Council of the Knights of
Columbus and the Margaret Ladies each presented checks for
$2,500 to Father Robert J. DeMartino, pastor of St. William
of York Church in Stafford.
The combined $5,000 will purchase new folding tables for the
parish and St. William of York School. The tables will
replace worn-out tables used by the many parish organizations
and the school throughout the year.
The Knights and their Ladies each raised $2,500 through
Sunday morning pancake breakfasts and muffin, pastry and
donut sales. The checks were presented to Fr. DeMartino
following the council’s installation of officers ceremony in
the St. William of York Church sanctuary.
Father DeMartino expressed his gratitude to Father Widmer
Council and the Margaret Ladies for their continuous support
to himself and the parish.
