A gala fund-raiser for Food for the Poor to be held at the
Waterford at Fair Oaks April 25 has been canceled.
Organizers announced in last week’s Catholic Herald that NBC
journalists Ann Curry and Chris Matthews had been named
honorary co-chairs of the first ever event in Virginia.
Proceeds were to benefit Food for the Poor’s work building
homes in hurricane-ravaged areas of Haiti.
