A traveling art show and concert series, part of the second preparatory year for the Diocesan Golden Jubilee celebration, is themed, “Rejoice!” It features local musicians playing Marian-themed pieces and exhibitions of newly commissioned artwork painted by local Catholic artists, who were inspired by Catholic Charities ministries.
Dates include Oct. 6, Oct. 11, Oct. 27, Nov. 10 and Nov 17.
The art and concert series aims to present the truth, beauty, and goodness of the faith through art, while informing parish communities about diocesan charitable works. Each painting will be presented as a gift to its corresponding Catholic Charities ministry, to be enjoyed by the women, children and families served.
A reception will follow all events.
