Upper Room Theatre Ministry will perform the Broadway musical “Into the Woods” July 19-24 as their 15th anniversary production at All Saints Church Performing Arts Center, 9310 Stonewall Rd. in Manassas. The show re-imagines multiple Brothers Grimm fairy tale characters, including Cinderella, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood.
The group’s 2015 performance of “Peter Pan” was recognized by D.C. Metro Theatre Arts as a “Best Musical in Community Theatres,” and Robert Tessier, founder of URTM, said he expects 4,000 viewers for this upcoming show. The performance will feature songs by Stephen Sondheim backed by a live orchestra.
