Across the Arlington diocese, many adults were welcomed into the Catholic Church at Easter Vigil Masses March 30.

Bishop Michael F. Burbidge celebrated the Easter Vigil in Burke Hall at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More March 30.

The hourslong vigil Mass began with the blessing and lighting of the Paschal candle symbolizing the light of Christ.

During Mass, candidates received the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and first Communion.
