Fr. Daniel Mode addresses parishioners of St. Mary of
Sorrows Church in Fairfax last month, discussing the cause for sainthood of Fr.
Vincent R. Capodanno. Fr. Mode is the author of the book “The Grunt Padre” on
the life of Fr. Capodanno, who was killed while serving as a Navy chaplain in
Vietnam in 1967.
