Shrine to host 40 hours devotion

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception in Washington will sponsor “24 Hours for the Lord:
40 Hours Devotion” beginning with the 5:15 p.m. Mass March 3,
and continuing through the 5:15 p.m. Mass March 5. Continuous
exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be available
throughout the devotion, including the overnight hours.

The opening Mass will be celebrated by the Military Services
Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio. The closing Mass will be
celebrated by Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde with a
Eucharistic procession immediately following. Both Masses
will be broadcast by EWTN and Catholic TV.
