Local parishes across the Arlington diocese are expected to hold special collections during weekend Masses either Oct. 8-9 or Oct. 15-16 to support Hurricane Ian relief.

Donations will support U.S. Catholic bishops’ efforts to alleviate short-term needs such as water, food, shelter and medical care, as well as longer-term recovery efforts.

Checks should be made payable to “Catholic Diocese of Arlington” and note in the memo field “Bishops Disaster Relief Fund.” Checks can also be mailed to Catholic Diocese of Arlington, P.O. Box 1960, Merrifield, VA 22116.
