When the elderly men and women at the Jeanne Jugan Residence for senior care pray the rosary with Sister Constance Veit, they see her as more than one of the caregivers at the facility. Though this nun with the Little Sisters of the Poor is many years their junior, these seniors think of her as their spiritual mother, a term often used by popes when they refer to women religious.br />

The Catholic Church celebrates the 56th annual World Day of Prayer for Vocations on Good Shepherd Sunday, May 12. It is a special invitation to pray for all the priests and men and women religious who offer their lives in service to the Lord and His Church.
