VATICAN CITY — Despite initial estimates of requiring a week of inpatient care, Pope Francis will continue his recovery as a patient at Rome's Gemelli hospital after undergoing colon surgery, the Vatican press office said.

The diocesan Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life will sponsor a weekend retreat for adult children of divorce July 30-Aug. 1 at San Damiano Spiritual Life Center in White Post. The retreat will begin Friday at 6 p.m. and end Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
