A woman venerates a relic of
St. Thomas More, patron saint of the Arlington Diocese,
at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington June 22, his
feast day.
June 21 marked the start of Fortnight for Freedom, the U.S.
Conference of Catholic Bishops’ campaign in defense of
religious freedom.
Other relics of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher (not
shown here), on loan from Stonyhurst College in England, will
be available for veneration at the Basilica of the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception following the closing
Mass in Washington July 4 at noon. For more information,
